The IASCL 2011 Committee is working with its colleagues around the world to develop a scientific meeting of the highest caliber, with an innovative and exciting scientific program. The theme of the Congress will be Social, Genetic and cognitive determinants in the acquisition and development of language.
IASCL 2011 CONGRESS OBJECTIVES
- To provide a forum for the presentation of high quality, original scientific research and clinical practice
- To promote the exchange of scientific, practical, educational and clinical information and ideas
- To provide an educational resource appropriate to all those interested in all aspects of the acquisition and development of language and its problems
- To give delegates the opportunity to network with colleagues.
PROFILE OF ATTENDENCE
The very strong scientific and educational program combined with the attractiveness of Montreal in the summer leads us to expect an excellent attendance at this Congress. We expect 700 participants.
The IASCL Congress provides an international forum for senior and junior researchers, for practitioners and for students in the general area of child language.
The IASCL Congress offers an excellent opportunity for delegates to learn about progress in research and the latest techniques and advances in child language.
Delegates come from all parts of the world, with a larger participation from Europe and North America.
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
For sponsors contributing CA$ 2000 or more, we shall erect two banners (22" x 79" / 56 cm x 200cm) for the duration of the conference. The banners can be produced on site or with the sponsor-defined layout. In addition, an advertisement page will be dedicated to the sponsor on the electronic version of the program (there is no print version of the program).
EXHIBITION SPACE From CA$ 400.
Exhibition space will be available in the Alexandre de Sève and Administration Buildings where the thematic symposia will be presented and where the tea/coffe breaks will be served.
The minimum space we are offering is a 2m x 2m space. Additional space will cost CA$ 100 / meter2. Stands are supplied with a table and 2 chairs. Should you have any additional requirements, please contact Sanja Obradovic () for costs. Exhibition charges do not include access to the conference sessions.
There will be a Sponsors/Exhibitors list produced for the delegates that will include your Company Logo and Contact Details. This information must be sent to the Conference Organisers as soon as possible but certainly before 15 May 2011 for inclusion in the Final Program.
Official Evening Poster Session (there are three OEPS) CA$ 2500.
Sponsor of an Official Evening Poster Session in Alfred Laliberté Hall, 120 minutes. Catering fees and poster hall rental will be partially covered by the Sponsor. + the sponsor?s logo with hyperlink on Congress website.
This includes one standard Exhibition Space, if needed, advertisement in the Program and the sponsor?s logo with hyperlink on Congress website.

The poster competition is intended to give students a forum to compete for a prize that should exemplify excellent work as well as clear communication of results and conclusions in the poster format.
Best student presentation award (there are two awards) CA$ 200.

Two awards will be presented to the two best student oral presentations and extended abstracts. Each award consists of CA$ 200.00 cash and a plaque.
